FRESH FRUITS and VEGETABLES PROGRAM

Welcome back!

Child Nutrition is excited to announce that PCES will be participating in the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program this school year.  Each day, ALL students will receive an additional snack consisting of a fresh fruit or vegetable.  A short nutrition lesson will also be taught on the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables.  

Did you know?

·        The “fuzzy” skin of a kiwi is a good source of fiber and nutrition.  Rinse it off and bite right in!

TIPS!

·        Keep fruits and vegetables where you can see them!

Examples: On the counter or In the front of the fridge

·        Get some EVERY meal, EVERY day!

·        Try something NEW!
